So today in the shop where I bought my Bonneville, I saw a Golden Anniversary Edition set - gas tank, flyscreen, and sidecovers, all done up with the Union Jack and special "1952-2002" markings. It was absolutely beautiful. I have seen a picture of somebody with a tank with the Union Jack, but figured it was a custom job. Now I see that it must have been some kind of limited edition, official thing. Who has one, who has pictures of one, and who can tell me what it's about? A 2002 Bonneville with the kit installed must look absolutely stunning...

I have one that I would love to sell. You're exactly right about the custom paint. It was sold as a kit to convert a standard Bonneville into a Golden Jubilee Edition. Silver tank, side covers and fenders with Union Jack scallops on the tank and a broad blue strip on the front fender with red & white coachlines. The side cover sport the Golden Jubilee decals. With knee pads, it looks the business.

It was a pricey option as I recall and they are fairly rare. As I said, I have a 02 Bonneville done-up with the Golden Jubilee bodywork along with a full MotoTwin sweptback system in ceramic black.

This is the golden jubilee - 50th anniversary of the Queen's reign - not the 50th anniversary of the Bonneville.
