...and boy, was I mistaken.

Instead, the Bonnie is an outstanding motorcycle! I took delivery of my new 06 Silver last night, and took it for a short cruise around Cape Ann - now I'm in love. :-D

My original thoughts were, hey - it's a good looking bike that I can just ride around on and not have to worry about damaging anything on my vintage bike. But now I'm so impressed - even though I'm still breaking it in, it's obviously a very capable motorcycle that is really just a pleasure to ride!

Seriously considering numbering it in the permanent collection...

Yeah, I felt the same; the Bonneville FAR exceeds what I expected. I have had bikes that were "ok" to ride but never one that was truly pleasurable. I dig it!

I bought my Bonnie Black to ride with friends who have Harleys. I like to ride, they're my friends, but to stay in 2nd and 3rd gear on my RS, or to always arive 40 minutes ahead of them would be boring and anti-social. So I got the Bonnie. I thought she'd putter along with them and I could ride at legal speeds and have middle-aged fun rides.

Man, what a suprise. She's just as much fun as the RS, and zippy too. I've been riding the bonnie instead of the RS, and can still keep within spitting distance of my buddy on his Daytona (up to 85mph). And she corners great too.

Thanks! Yeah, I'm definitely impressed with how it holds the twisties! Really, really glad I bought this bike. Can you tell?

I put a couple photos in here:

Will take more as soon as the weather clears up. Now she's got gaiters, and the reflectors are probably coming off tonight...

Funny, I did almost the same. I just wanted a general purpose motorcycle and I found my 05 bonnie with only 125 miles for $4,600.00.... It was a great deal on an awesome motorcycle...
