I had my '06 Bonnie Black in the shop for some fairly routine maintenance, which might have been covered by the warranty when I got a call from the dealer:

"Hey Mr. M, this is Jeff @ Clinton Cycles. I'm afraid I've got some bad news"

I was expecting him to say the repairs wouldn't be covered, but this is what he really said: "we had a fire, and your bike was destroyed"

!!!

My '06 Bonnie black with gators and tank pads and an engine guard and dart wind screen which I put 4700 miles on from August to April...

Anyway, it was so shocking it was laughable.

Here's the question: I'm getting a new bike. Who thinks I should get another Bonnie black bc I'm seriously considering getting a new Scrambler.

I'd love to hear your thoughts on this.

Thanks!

WoW! Sorry for your loss, what did they do with your bike? Buy it back and part it out if some of it is salvagible.

Get another Bonnie or Rocket 3.

Sorry to hear your news of course, but what a fantastic problem to have. It's like the lotto agency phoned you to say that your ticket didn't win but here are the keys to bank vault. Go the Scrambler for six months, if you don't like it then trade it in on the Bonne Black...I am sure your dealer will have some great "opening specials."

maybe your last bike was so hot that it spontaneously combusted!! I hope some other bikes were lost in the fire as well, like anything Harley Davidson, those early Kawasaki Bonneville look-alikes, Yamaha Viragos - these are bikes that actually deserve to be burnt!

That 6month idea is excellent - thanks.

I think they must have lost @ least 30 bikes. (I don't know at all for certain - it's just that they're all together when they work on them, you know)

I do want to point out that except for this incident (I know this sounds ridiculous right now) I LOVE Clinton Cycle, and will buy the next bike from them.
