Just checking out tires, and I've read all I can find on the subject here. I am looking for something cost effective and long lasting. I don't ride too sporty on my bonnie so would Avon AM26's do OK for me? I can't find anyone saying how long they last on here, like I see for other tires. My stock Battlax's lasted about 11k before needing replacing.

Can't comment on the Avons but switching from Battlaxs to Metzlers, MEZ2 and Lasertech made a world of difference.

Meh, never mind, I ordered some Pirelli Sport Demons instead. At cycle gear the Avons are more expensive to get. The Pirellis were cheaper than the Metzler Lasertecs, so I went with them.

Put some on, it was less than $175 shipped for a pair from TiresUnlimited.com , with rim strips and tubes.

They ROCK as far as traction and how they feel..

Only 250 miles on them, so I cant speak to their longetivity..

No bad wear noted yet.
