Hi Guys

Can anyone tell me if the Hagon Progressive fork springs, shorten the length of fork travel?

In comparison to the stock triumph springs.

If so by how much?

I already have them waiting to go, on my front end, which I am lowering by 22mm. I'm hoping to get this done Friday evening GMT.

Jon,

The Hagon springs don't limit the fork travel. I dropped the front by 1/2" or so after fitting mine, had to move the horn to the side of the bike because the mudguard was hitting it on full bump. It's a bulkier aftermarket Jenks one, you might be ok for clearance with the standard tooter.

standard spring on left, Hagon on right

Jon,

The main difference I noticed when I fitted the Hagon progressives in my forks was that they seemed stiffer to begin with - though the handling was much improved. There wasn't any noticable reduction in overall travel though the amount of dive was greatly reduced.
There are a couple of posts which might be of interest to you in the "Suspension" section of the Twin Mod Links page - HERE.

I have the Hagon progressive springs on mine and lowered the front by 3/4" or 20mm and also have the 30mm shorter Hagons in the rear. I have never had a problem with my standard horn hitting my fender. In fact it looks like the distance between the fender and horn or more than the fender and frame. Maybe it's a bad angle.

I have Hagon's on my bike with the progressives in the front. I don't know if anyone else notices this, but it seems my forks "top" out over raised bumps in the road. In otherwords, the forks don't bottom out at all over bumps, it seems when the fully extend over a bump that I feel a clunk....like the springs are extremely tight (not spongie) and extenting out quickly. I can mimic this sound by crusing down the road at about 10mph, standing on the pegs and bouncing up and down on the suspension.

I changed the fluid and checked the level to make sure this was not the case. My rear shocks seem to do the same thing. I don't weigh very much so I wonder if that has anything to do with it? Any ideas?

The hagons really feel good one the bike, but the lower the font a tad. You should noy have any negative outcomes because of this though.
