I just noticed a pretty serious "bounce" in my speedometer needle when I get to between 50 and 60 mph. It swings up or down 5 mph and then settles down. It's distracting and hard to tell what my speed really is.

A couple months ago I had a squealing noise in the speedometer which the dealer determined was ice (It was about 29 degrees that day but still great riding weather). They removed the ice and lubed the cable.

I hadn't noticed the swing in readings before then. Any ideas on the cause or is this normal?

Mine did that just once, on a cold day about a month ago, and never did it again. It was cold and I had run it up to about 80 while redlining through the gears. When I checked the speed the needle was bouncing. I slowed down and it smoothed out but, when I went back up to about 70, it started to bounce again. I slowed down again and then it stayed smooth ever since. :
