For those scrambler owners who have the wind screen, do you find it does much or is more cosmetic. Also, I have seen some painted to match the bike (blue, green or red) and is looks sharp nevertheless.

Looks too small to make a difference but curious to hear if its effective

I just added the clear screen from Triumph for my scrambler and it really does make a difference above 50 mph. I can ridde at 75 to 80 and my arms are much more relaxed and my neck is also a lot less tired after a long ride. One note though, and it may have to do with my height but the screen seems to break the air in a way creating an area of low pressure aound your head which kinda makes a low rumbly sound as opposed to riding without a screen. When I ride I usually use ear plugs anyhow and that seems to cancel the rumblies out. I would reccomend the screen. I hope this helps.

A quick follow up, I went to price a wind/flysreen (aftermarket)and the parts guy actually talked me out of it saying that due to my height (6'2) the wind would be directed right in to my chest and make the ride worse.

have any tall scrambler riders experienced this?

Thanks,

I have the small Triumph windscreen installed on my 06 Scrambler. It does take some of the wind off of you, but not a dramatic change. I'm also 6'2" and I don't notice the wind being directed in my chest at all.

I have that windscreen too, and think it's a worthwhile mod. Not a dramatic effect, but punches a hole in the air and deflects some of the weather, debris and bugs too. You sit quite high on the Scrambler, so are up in it anyway. I'm only 5'8" so can't help you taller folks with a perspective - cheers Pat

Thanks for your answer. I was looking to hear info like that. Since the bike looks pretty good as is, I may go ahead and get a clear windscreen. It looks pretty easy to install as it looks headlight mounted. i think a big windshield would distort its looks

IMHO opinio it could do with being 40 or so percent larger.
Though this will impede the "minimalistic"m look it would go
a little further in actually deflecting wind.

Has anybody found an aftermarket screen that works as well as it may look?

I have a friend that has the Triumph wind screen on his Scrambler. He is 6"3" and very much wants a larger screen. I was hoping that someone made a larger screen that you could just drill holes in the fit the stock Triumph hardware. I haven't found anything yet.

This is what I have for riding the freeways...a little larger than any traditionalist would want, but then any splat catcher is....

Larger Screen
