I just installed a new set of Works' Street Trackers along with their dual-rate spring kit for the front. There is no doubt these are terrific. I felt like I was riding another bike. The first thing you notice is the softer feeling when you sit down on the bike. At first, I thought, "there is no way these are heavier duty than my stock shock." It only took about 1/2 mile to realize what I felt was the softer setting & the fact I was riding on shock actually made for my weight (265). The bike just rolls over bumps now, I really can't even explain how much better the ride is.
As impressed as I am with the rears, installing the dual-rate springs up front may end up being an even better move. They are likely similar to the Progressives so many guys are using, but I chose the Works because it gives me the ability to control when the forks transition from soft to firm. They are about $35 buck more, though.
There are plenty of threads about spring installs, so I won't get into it, but I will give a brief view of what is in the package in case anyone is considering them.

The first pic shows everything you get. A couple of stickers, four washers, soft springs, firm springs, pvc spacers. The second pic shows the 3 pair of spacers which you use to set the transition point between soft & firm.
Install is the same, large springs go in first, followed by 1 washer. The small spring goes in next. When you install the small spring, you have to choose what transition spacer you will want. The longer ones will cause you front end to transition to firm earlier during fork compression, while using the shortest spacer will give you a soft, cushy ride a little longer. The transition spacer fits inside the short spring. Another washer goes on and then your PVC spacer. You need to cut 2.5" off the PVC tube - cut a little less if you want more pre-load.
That's it!!! Go enjoy your new ride!!
How long does all this take?
Rears = 1 Yuengling Lager :-D
Front = 2 Yuengling Lagers :-D
