This is the first time I've tried to upload a picture. Hope it comes through OK.
I wanted to thank everyone for all the help I got as I modified my bike through the winter. I would have never done this stuff without the help and advice I got here.
This winter I added: Staintunes (used), rejetted 128's, 42's and Thruxton needles, flat track bars and bar end mirrors, gel seat and cowl, tank badges, Hagon shocks, Lucas-lights, spaghetti cooker instrument cups (powder coated), bobbed the back fender and powder coated the head light bucket. Plus some chrome bits. I know it's not anything special compared to what I see on Rat.net, but it's special to me.
The jury's still out on the head light visor. I think I will get it powder coated and pin-striped.
Any comments and advice would be appreciated. Thanks again
I particularly like what you've done with the tank. Garden-Gate badges look great and the chrome strip, and knee-rubbers complete the picture. Well done...
Beautiful! Nice choice of mods. I mentioned this on someone elses bike, but I really like the faux chrome seam on the tank. Subtle touches make a bike.

Question for you. The tail light and the Lucas signals. Are they the ones that Brent offers through New Bonneville with the "plug and play" harness (no splicing)? I think that's the look I want.
If it is, any issues wiuth the install? I read on one post that the tail light "radius" where it meets the fender needs to be carefully ground down with a dremel tool to get it to fit just right.
I appreciate all of the positive input from all over.
I wanted to reply to a couple of questions:
Greyghost, Yep, those a NewBonneville plug in lights. There was a small (1/8") or so gap where the arch of the fender and tail light don't match, as described in the "***" topic. I've been waiting so long for different parts to arrive that I just coated all of the electrical connections good with dielectric grease and left it as is for now. I wanted to ride the darned thing! The gasket hides the gap unless you're looking hard for it. Making it fit closer to perfect may be next year's winter project.
Bobmig, I love the flat track bars. I have a bad wrist and shoulder (which precludes clip-ons or those more aggressive set-ups, bonnieblackinfl. Those would be my preference if I were 35 years younger). The flat trackers are perfect for me ergonomically. They have an old style swept back racing look that kind of fits the retro look of the bike, too.
Flugpup, I got a headlight visor sold at Bellacorse, but with the black headlight pot, it's too much chrome there somehow. If it were made black, it would set off the chrome headlight ring nicely, I think. I also thought about some subtle pin striping on it, and the cowl, maybe.
FattRat, I agree on the Staintunes, plus I think they make this the best sounding bike I've ever had.
Ridge, The brushed finish of the spaghetti cookers didn't look as good with the chrome and black as it did on some of the other bikes in pictures. I think you might agree with your black & red.
You don't need to be humble...that Bonnie is stunning !
the only possible impovment could be flatter 'bars to suit the mirrors :upthumb:
