I have a pair of norman hyde pea shooter exhausts , I think some of you guys refer to them as 'toga's. But anyway, I have had them for over 10,000 miles, and recently from both cans there is a small rattling noise, also they seem alot louder/raspier than even 2-3 weeks ago.
My throttle seems different, the way the bike pulls seems different, the roll on grunt doesnt seem quite as much as it was, although the engine when accelerating through the full revs seems more eager, also about a month ago I had a problem with low end throttle where the engine was running very ropey until I upped the pilot screw by 1/4 of a turn, indicating that it is ever so slightly too lean now.
The only conclusion is that the exhausts are now running straight through and need repacking. Being peashooters, I am unsure if this is possible without hacking them apart and re welding. A few months ago my motor was tuned (head skimmed, airbox removed etc) and the carbs were set up perfectly on the dyno.
Can anybody offer any advice? Thanks!

The NH Togas come with removable baffles (that I never installed).
If the baffles aren't installed, the exhausts are already "straight through". If you have the baffles installed, and that's what is causing the problem, take them out and the problem is solved. The Togas are better with no baffles anyway.

I dont have those baffles installed, I cant even remember what I did with them. But anyway that steel wool or whatever is in them is loose, and the sound is alot raspier and louder, plus it does now feel a tad lean.
If you read my previous entry to this thread, what I mentioned does indicate that the cans are not the same as when I first got them, I can tell this by the feel of the bike and the sound/rattling noise coming from each silencer.

rejet and forget about it. I looked into mine. I don't see a way to repack.
