I've just checked my fuel consumption over a tankfull of petrol. 47.31 miles per gallon, which I am more than happy about since I've been thrashing the bike mercilessly since I picked it up with the new carbs.
I never checked the fuel consumption with the stock carbs, so I don't know how it compares.

aftermarket carbs deliver a more precise mixture, therefore better performance and better MPG's (if you stay off the throttle).

Over 50 mpg should be possible, ridden with more restraint, not that I can restrain myself much
Fuel consumption is not at the top of my list of priorities, but it is a bonus all the same, and helping to save the planet :hammer:

plus you have that tall gearing.
Me, I have a 17t up front an a +1 tooth at the rear. My bike is geared low and I love it.

The taller gearing does keep the revs down at highway speeds, aiding fuel economy. The accelleration through the gears does not appear to have suffered with the taller gearing, and I still often look for another gear when in 5th!!! If I lowered the gearing, or returned it to stock, the bike would run out of revs just when the bike is getting into its stride.

Just feel I have to qualify the fact to the predominant US audience we are talking in british mpgs and not US. 1 british mpg is 0.83 US.

That's ~39.3 MPG for US riders.
Not bad, considering my T100 gets about the same commuting to work. (I used to get 47ish, but can't trace down why I lost so much mileage)

Mine gets right at 50mpg with the HSR's on the highway @70-75mph. Around town I get around 46mpg as long as I don't get twisty with my hand.

I used to get a consistent 47ish commuting from 9A & 17 to NS Mayport.
Now, getting 40is doing essentially the same ride. Still trying to find the culprit, but it's been like that for over year.
