i was riding today and was thinking that maybe it would be comfortable to have the pegs a little bit back. only reason i wouldn't want this is becasue maybe the look of the my body position would look totally wrong for this style of bike.

well, i was looking at pictures of the NH rearsets on new bonne and it doesn't seem like any thing elaborate. just wondering what exactly came in the kit ( my guess is a plate, some bolts and some rods) and does it really make a big difference in comfort?

It does, well made kit with the retro look, I have it since early 05 and never look back!

I wrote up the N-H rearsets in the review section (over on the left under "Features". The title is "Norman Hyde Rearsets". It is quite in-depth and was written about a year after I installed them. A picture of them on my bike is below:

can ya tell anything from this pic?
(D'OH! I just realized I posted this image in the wrong thread. Uhhhh, HELL YEAH, rear sets is an absolute MUST on these Bonnevilles UNLESS you're a casual cruiser and already comfortable with the factory set up. But in high winds, the factory set up will leave you FIGHTING just to stay on the bike!)

I like mine too. Sometimes having someone else do the engineering for you works out well.

That bike is soooo badass. Did you powdercoat those rims yourself? I wanna do the red/black wheel/spoke powdercoat after this season. Sorry to veer off the rearset conversation, it's just that black rim job rocks out!

Thanks HampdenRat - I had a local shop do the powdercoating for me.

The rear sets are Norman Hydes. Bought them from NewBonneville.
