TOR is Triumph Off Road.

They are a more open exhaust, so they are a touch louder and offer more HP.

I love my TORs. They have a good tone, give me a little boost in power and volume, but aren't so loud that I wake the neighbors when I leave for work at 6 a.m.

I have only one negative thing to say about the tors and that is when you scratch one of them you have to buy two new ones. That is over here in Belgium; :???: Triumph only sells them as a complete set

I thought I saw a thread where someone cut some damaged TOR's in half w/ a band saw and they where basically straight thru w/full length glass-packs. ...since Triumph sends 115 jets with them, that sounds about right (i.e. no cross baffles and no other mods)
...Billy

thank you, I have heard that TORs were straight through,
I thought they were quiet for being a straight through unit.
:hammer:
This RAT Net is great.
Thank You.

As noted, the TORS are straight through. They get louder and less-restrictive over time. Try this URL for pictures of dissected stock mufflers:

Less restrictive, but not quite as open as, say, togas or Staintunes. I love mine. They add a bit more power, sound like a motorcycle, and give a good blaaaat on accel, but nice and tame when cruising.

No difference from the outside. It's only when yo start up that the obvious internal differences come into play. There is no way in the world I am going to cut mine in half to find out.

I had TORS on my Thruxton originally and changed to Predators. Better looking, very well made, significant improvement in both BHP and torque. Warning - they are a bit louder than TORS.

Just look at the improvements. Ignor the numbers as my bike is modified, but look at the difference in the curves. These dyno runs were taken when the stock carbs with 138 main jets were fitted, airbox removed and K&N filters fitted.

TORQUE (BLUE LINE PREDATORS)
