Am I missing something? Is ther any difference between a Bonneville Black and a T100 besides the paint (and a lot of $$$)? They used to be different motors, but now...

There are a few items extra, but just depends on what you think is important. They look different, but perform the same.

In 2007 both Bonneville and T100 get the 865cc motor. Previous years have the Bonneville fitted at 790cc. The other differences have already been posted above.

The Triumph manual lists the T 100 as having a higher HP output than the regular Bonnie. Why is that?

The engines are the same on the current production bikes.

"Paint, chrome, tank badges, knee pads, and a tach. "

The T-100 started in 2003. From 2003 to 2005, these were the only differences between the standard and T-100.

Starting in 2007, these are again the only differences between the the models.

However, for 2005 and 2006, there was the above differences, plus:

865 vs 790 engine
"Thrux" needles
Higher rev limiter
Adjustable levers

Probably an old manual from when the Bonnie Black had the 790.
