Put my bike on the machine for the first time today. Looks pretty good to me. Max HP 65.88 Max Tourque 54.32. Mixture looks a little lean, around 14:1, but takes a dip in the 4100 to 5300 range to about 12.9. Set up is TOR's, home airbox removal, K&N pods, 138 main, 42 pilot, 1 shim, slides drilled to 1/8. Wondering if I should try to enlage main to 140 and ditch the shim, or am I being to picky and I should leave well enough alone? Do ya'll think that would smooth the air/fuel to a good 13? Also thinking that this was at 74 dgrees at 30 percent humidity, that's alot of air for my neck of the woods. normal days coming will be 90+ and around 60-80 percent humidity. probably a better mixture then? I hope this works, first pic post!

I'm sure that 99.9% of the people around here are more qualified than me to give an opinion, but that looks incredibly good to me - nice and smooth hp and torque curves, and except for that one dip, a nice even mix line. Of course, I'm used to staring at dyno readings for two-stroke singles with Dell'orto carbs, which are downright insane compared to these, but MAN! I'd be really happy with that myself.

I'm not "qualified" to give an educated opinion.... but here goes anyway:

Yeah..... I'd go up to some 140's, maybe even some 143's. You are at your leanest where you would normally find yourself cruising on the freeway.... you don't want it running hot while cruising.

I'll be willing to bet that it's pretty responsive to throttle input though! A lean condition can actually make your bike pretty peppy when opening the throttle.

I might also add that all of my Dyno runs show lean conditions at the lower RPM's, and that characteristic dip. Otherwise, that thing is smooooooth!

I am of the same opinion, at least go up one size, if the dyno ain't too spendy to use then go for another run and see.

Skinny is good, if the old rule of thumb of 7lb = 1hp ....well nuff said. I am also "thin" like to call it an athletic build, makes me feel better about myself. If I weighed what THEY say I should I would be loosing several hp the way I see it.

Nice bike, making good hp, just hope you got good roads in your neck of the woods to run it on.

That curve looks too good to screw around with. Like you, I'm guessing that it will enrichen in warmer weather.

I responded to your same thread in the cafe section. Looking again at your chart, I'd go up to 140 on the main and possibly a 45 pilot.

Bill Gately states these motors perform best with a a/f ratio of 13.2 to 13.7 Your close.

SCCTrim, I saw your repley and replied in club cafe. I hate posting in two forums but I always get responses fom different people in each and for this I wanted all the feedback I can get. So there you can read what I think about the 45 pilot and I think I'll try the 140. The dyno operator also suggested a larger pilot but I really think in my situation it is not benifical.

Vertwrks, if I could get this thing to make 8 more ponies, I'd have half my weight in horsepower!
