Any suggestions for decent torque wrenches to get for the Bonnie? Brand, size, etc......

I bought this one from Sears a few months ago. VERY happy with it and I think it covers almost every torque spec for a Bonnie.

A bit pricey but it's super easy to use as it has both foot pounds and NM's in seperate windows.

Clicky

Some of the members here have found better deals at Harbor Freight I believe.

Cheers.

I have been using the same one Oldtown suggested for years and am very happy with it also. You might could source a cheaper one from Harbor Freight but the emphasis may be on cheaper.

I'm no mechanic, but I've got two different size SK (or S&K?) ones that work quite nicely. They're the only ones I've ever owned or even used, though, so they may just be average for all I know...

3/8" drive "clicker" from Sears. 1/2" drive "Dial" for the BIG stough from Snap-On.

The less expensive Sears wrench gets replaced every couple of years. The Snap-On is a lifetime tool that I have re-calibrated annually.

Currently shopping around for a spoke torque wrench.

Why so many you might ask? Well, two reasons:

1. Torque wrenches are the least accurate at the ends of their scales. In other words, using the big wrench for small values at the bottom of its scale is less accurate than using the smaller wrench where that value is in the middle of its scale.
2. I’m a tool whore… :-D

Avoid Harbor Freight. I've bought a few things from them and they are okay for basic tools, but the torque wrench I bought sucked. Took it back the next day and bought a proper Craftsman at Sears, and it worked perfectly.
