With all the talk of removing stickers I decided to remove the goofy tank sticker, tried doing this earlier but could not get enough of a corner up. I did it last night and once you get the corner up it comes right off there was a thin layer of adhesive left, I read several places to use different types of removers but it looked like it would come off easily enough with applying wax which I did and wham after about 3 applications the adhesive was totally gone...

If you heat it up for a few seconds with a hair dryer, it comes of very easily. Also, I used WD40 (this stuff does everything) to remove the adhesive, then applied a coat of wax. Looks much better without that sticker on the tank.

Nice -- I was picking at the sticker yesterday, I'll have to do this tomorrow, I can milk this for AT LEAST a half hour in the garage between Easter visits!

un-du

use un-du to remove sticker residue!

trust me on this... I've tried many products.
un-du doesnt damage other materials especially some types of plastics like the others do.
The others work, but the sticky stuff retains its gooey stickiness and makes it hard to remove.
Undu temporarily eliminates the stickiness and evaporates without leaving any petroleum residue.
I am absolutely amazed at how much better un-du is than everything else I have tried.
It's also sold under the name quickie (by the makers of undu).

Tank Sticker

OK I give up? I am lost on this one. My bonne never had any kind of sticker on the tank?
Where / what is it?? Maybe the dealer removed it before I got it??

Here it is

I assume this is the sticker in question...
Smells like lawyers.
Every time I see an idiot sticker... I just roll my eyes.
We should just label the idiots instead...
