Dear All
I just put Hagon Road shocks on my 790cc 2003 Bonnie. I got the 320mm ones to lower the bike and it works
Great. So thanks for your advice on that.
Also I'd like tell you about the guy I phoned yesterday, at Hagons, enquiring about removing the old swing arm bushes, he saved the day, great service.
My next question!
With the standard springing the triumph Manual for my bike has the maximum fork travel at 120mm.
I have a spacer and end cover kit supplied by (Mecatwin in France) , that allegedly allows me to lower the front end 22mm by raising them above the yolks.
The internal spacers allegedly increase the spring pre-load by 12Nm.
I've just measured the standard distance between the regulator and the front mudguard, with Vernia calipers and it's exactly 142mm.
Which means if the spacers don't work as advertised, It's likely that the regulator will hit the mudguard under extreme braking conditions.
So
Does anyone know if the Hagon progressive front fork springs reduce the length of maximum travel in the front forks?
If so by how much?
Would I still need to use my spacers with the Hagon springs?
I'm really not worried if all I've bought so far is an expensive set of fork top covers.
so if the springs will serve the same purpose or even better surpass it, then for £55 there's just no argument. I just need to know for sure that what I want to do will work.
Please advise.
Thanks in advance.
Jon (UK)
