I get 130 - 140 miles on my unmodified '05 T100 before reserve. That is one-up, moderate speed and country riding. Average distance per trip 20 miles. I once ran the bike completely dry - oops - at 162 miles.

"I'm getting about 36mpg right now, but I've also richened her up"
Running that rich can do bad things to your motor. Like washing the oil from the cylinder walls, for example. Besides that, your motor will be making quite a bit less power that way.

I have 1,500 miles on the odo of my '05 bonnie - it was the dealer's demo unit, and I picked it up on Valentine's Day 2007 with 686 miles on the clock. So far, I've found my mileage steadily getting better as the bike forgets its traumatic childhood in the hands of whomever the dealer gave the keys to! (actually, it was in perfect shape when I got it).
I got about 95-100 miles to reserve out of my first few tanks, but after a couple long highway rides (150-200 miles each), where I went about 140 miles to reserve, I seem to be doing better in town now. The bike's still breaking in - clearly, the break-in on these takes a lot more than the supposed 500 or 1000 miles. I'll be surprised if I'm not consistently getting 140 miles to reserve by the time the clock hits 5k (that is, if I leave it stock  )

If I spend an entire tankful riding in town, back and forth to work, I have to switch to reserve around 110 miles. If I spend the entire tankful riding country roads, I can go 140-150 miles before switching to reserve.
When I fill up shortly after switching to reserve, I usually put in just barely over 3 gallons. The tank is supposedly 4.2 gallons, which means the reserve (in my bike at least) is a little over a gallon.

I hit reserve at 128 miles this morning which is right about where I usually have to. Stock 790, stock exhaust, etc.
That's doing 75 - 90 mph on the way to work, and 5 - 25 mph stop and go freeway traffic on the way home. Plus a quick canyon run last Sunday.

My mileage (kilometrage?) seems to be worse than most. My 2001 790cc consistently gives 150 km around town before hitting reserve, and between 180 and 190 (occasionally 200) km on open roads. No idea how that converts to miles, but I do know that it's very poor compared to most other people's experience.

If you play you pay hence 100 before reserve compared to 140
