When I bought my 04 Thruxton, it came with a center stand. I told the previous owner I was not interested in the stand. In the end I still received the stand , but it was now off the bike collecting dust in my garage.

Since I had no use for it I gave it to my buddy for his new 07 Scrambler. When we tried to install it we found it would not fit. Back in my garage collecting dust.

Another buddy buys a 07 Bonneville. So another opportunity to find a home for the stand. He takes the stand to a dealer and they try to install it and proclaim it will not fit.

Now I am wondering if the Thruxton, Scrambler and Bonneville each have different center stands. I thought the frames were the same.

Interesting. When I ordered mine through my dealer, there was only one Triumph part number for the Bonnevillle/Thruxton centerstand. When I dug it out of the box to install it, I noticed that it was not marked in any way. the scrambler came out after I had already done the job.

I'd say that the only way to tell if yours is OEM or not would be to find one that is and compare, which may not be all that easy. Mine went right on, although the springs required some serious persuading.
