Love 'em. Not only do they look much, much better than the stock mirrors, but they also ended up working like bar end weights as well. Before the Napoleons, I was getting some vibration numbness, now there's nothing. Beautiful how things work out sometimes.
I removed the original bar end caps, of course, but I didn't want to drill out the plugs or re-tap them to fit the bolts that came with the Napoloens. I used a 5mm x 50 (80 pitch) Allen head bolt, but the head was almost too small, and could have ended up jamming in the mirror mount. I found a couple of perfectly sized black washers in my junk drawer to keep the Allen head from jamming. A quick trip to the hardware store netted me a couple of aluminum spacers to fill the space around the bolt, and a couple of stainless lock washers.
And of course, here they are mounted.
I took these pics in an a Target store's underground garage because it gave me the opportunity to inflict my TORs on the plebes. The more I ride this bike and the more I play with her, the more I love her. :-D

Also added Napoleon mirrors and M bars this weekend. I haven't had a chance to get up into the twisties yet, but around town and on the freeway the lower bars made it feel like a new bike - felt great.
I still need to get the adjustment correct for the right side, though, as with the mirror pushed all the way out there is still a large blind spot. Even so, there is a lot more vision now than with the stockers, and the bike looks way better.

I do the daily commute in the cage. The traffic between home and downtown LA is fuggin nuts. I want to survive to ride the twisties on the weekends.
Had a interesting lane-split experience about a month ago, though. A couple of cuties were hanging out of the passenger side windows of a car on the Hollywood Freeway, sightseeing, I guess. I rode behind the car until they saw me and they pulled themselves back in the car to let me go by. As I passed, a slender hand came out the front window and we exchanged "five" as I went by. Good thing I had a full face helmet on or they would have seen what a miserable old f**k I am and ruined the moment. :-D

I split lanes with mine daily. It's still narrow enough.

Um, I've never seen bar-end mirrors sticking out that far. I want to say that it defeats the purpose, but then it ocurrs to me that this depends on what your purpose is. My bar-ends are mounted right over the grips, give me good vision behind, but make the mirrors seem less obstrusive. Yours are kind of glaringly THERE. Strange. But if they're doing what you want them to do, then more power to ya.

Before I bought them, I'd only seen them either sticking straight out or straight up. When I got mine, I realized there was a middle position that reminded me of the angle of door-mounted mirrors on sports cars.
Yeah, I know it's not standard, but it works for me. :-D

Interesting theory.
Mine is that the more you ride, the better and safer you get so you ride the twisties (or dirt roads) in my case - better.
Then again, Ive never owned a car only ever borrowed them out of necessity.
Riding to me is more than a hobby.

Twenty-five years ago when I was still bulletproof, I did commute on two wheels. You're right, it made me a better and safer rider.
If I lived somewhere like Canberra (pop. 325,000) I might still be commuting on two wheels. Here in LA (pop. 3,500,000), it's not my skills I'm concerned about. It's the skills (or lack thereof) of the OTHER guys.
As far as non-carownership goes, I remember what it was like to struggle financially, and don't want to do that again.
