Well, I've been wanting a bike for a while, and I've always had a love for Triumphs. Something about the brand draws me, both the cars and the bikes (Even though they've been seperate companies since the 30's).

I took the MSF course and got my license like 2 years ago, but had only been on a bike a couple times since then, an old Honda CB350F that i've been sorta working on restoring. (Still needs the carbs rebuilt and a front brake caliper installed).

Last week, with gas prices over $3/gallon, I decided that it was time to get a bike for the commute. Hey, thats a good enough reason, right?

I started calling around to all the Triumph dealers within 100 miles or so asking if they had any '06 Scramblers left and if so, what kind of deal they were offering.

So Cal Triumph in Brea had a blue one, and gave me a great price over the phone, so I rushed over there after work on Friday. Got there after they closed, but they waited so I could at least look at and sit on the bike.

I was back at the dealer when they opened on Saturday, and told them to get the bike prepped while we were working out the financing, because one way or another I was taking her home with me.

Picked her up at 5 on Saturday, then put 100 miles on her before she ever saw my driveway. I didn't get home until 3 in the morning.

You've got a great bike from a great dealer. I stop by So Cal every time I'm in town. They've got a huge collection of Triumph swag!

And celebrating at Hooters! Welcome indeed, you're our kind of guy! :chug:

Nice bike. Good choice. Next stop is TOR's. You'll love them. Gas at $3,00 a gallon sounds good to any Brit. Please feel free to send as much as the US mail can handle to your UK cousins as its fast approaching £7 a gallon here (US gallon). Costs me over 12 quid to fill from reserve ($24).
Happy riding.
