I have a set of ceramic coated Predators. I will be sending the headers off to be ceramic coated. The coating is supposed to be 2-4 mils thick. I'm woundering if I should have the entire headers coated of if I should mask the end of the headers that fit into the Predators, cross over area, and header/exhaust port mating surface. I would prefer to just coat the whole part but am not sure how dificult it would be to remove the coating if it became necessary (I know the coating is tuff but it looks like a little agressive sandpaper could knock it down without too muck trouble.)

Coat the entire header. I had no problems mating the cross pipe and the header to the mufflers. When mating the header/mufflers, it will scrub off some of the coating, but it won't be seen anyway.

Oregonthruxton, thanks that is what I was hoping would be the case. Should make for a nice clean look that way.

Also glad to hear that. I was thinking the same thing. I should have mine back soon. Since I have Emgos and need the adapter pipe it's getting coated also. The mufflers are just getting painted. If needed a pipe expander should help out.
