Has anyone installed a voltage gauge on their bike?

No, not since my "49 Indian but it's a good idea. You can never have too much engine info at a glance.

I installed an LED charge indicator on my Sportster, which like my Bonnie came with nothing to indicate charge. That $25 indicator saved me from a hundred mile tow when it came on one day. Turns out my stator quit, but without that LED, I wouldn't have found out until several hours later when it was way too late.

I'm presently looking at two indicators; one a single LED, the other a series of LED's.

Have you found a charge indicator that's promising?

Today I picked up an Autometer Phantom model 2" lighted analog gauge, with black housing for about $52 total. Made in USA.
I figured it might go nice with the Speedy's white faced MPH & RPM dials.
I'll let you know how it works out.
