This is a great forum and I've learned a ton since joining in January, when I bought my Bonnie. Thanks for being here!

My TOR's arrive on Tuesday and I'm excited about installing them right away. I opted for TOR's because they seem to put out the right sound level for my tastes, yet provide some performance enhancement. Now I'm looking for your advice on next steps.

My questions are:
1. Do I need to rejet; and
2. Will the TOR's provide enough flow to justify installing one of the Airbox Removal Kits?

There seems to be no end to the range of opinion around these modifications, so I would really appreciate feedback from those of you who actually have TOR's and experience with these mods.
Thanks!

You bought the TORs new right? Triumphs answer is jets come with TORs if they are required.

Rejetting was not required on my 05 Thruxton with no other mods.

I am about to remove my airbox and replace with K&N cone filters. This will require rejetting. Whether there is benefit or no is up to you.

If you want to keep the airbox, TOR's will run on a stock set-up, but only ok. They run better with 115 mains, stock being 110.
If you remove the snorkle on the airbox, and go to a K&N or UNI free flow, you could up the mains to about 120. And thats pretty much all the airbox will allow.
If you remove the airbox, you may have to go to 42 pilots, and mains in the area of 140 or 150, but that number varies. then you put hooligan pipes on, and go "hooning about." disturbing the peace and irritating your neighbors will then become a way of life.
did I mention its fun?

Geoffs' got it on the money. The TOR set up on my bike (a 790) was 115 main & 40 Pilot, with the needle drilled ever slightly. Did the air box replacement and intake manifolds last fall and it went up to 150 with 42 pilots and a shim on the needles. The big thing was the mixture screw inside the carb needed to be reset to 2 turns out from closed as the thing dropped dead at 5000 rpm before it was adjusted. Now the bike is getting the 904 and cams, so we will see.

Geoff's answer is mine...Beware that the 790 and 865 engines are slightly different and yours has stock Thrux needles...I went with 118 jets after reading the Jenk's Bolts guide and a new hi-flow air filter (ie K&N) with snorkle removed and AI off on my '06 T100

I have TORs with a K&N filter with the inside of the snorkel removed, I am running 120 Main right now and was thinking of going to 125's, but after reading the above post am now thinking these may be to large for my set up. Any input on this? Have a little popping in 3rd gear on decel but that is about it...
