I have a flawless but six month old 06 T100 with the red and black paint (pinstriped personally by Pete). Anyone want to trade a tank in similar condition off their Bonnie Black? I'd prefer a So Cal location, so we can do the swap ransom style and not have much down time as I ride mine nearly every day. (I don't want to ship it.) No probs with mine, I'd just like the bike to look a little more low key. Heck, I could ride over and we could just swap 'em if anyone is reasonably local.

I'm after the same look. I've also wondered if there was a quality way (and inexpensive) to remove the red stripe

The only right way to do it is to sand it down and repaint it. Kind of seemed a shame to cover such a nice paint job and hand laid coach stripes. (Not to mention spendy.) I have a friend with a BB, I just need to get more persuasive with him, unless I can find someone on here to swap. Is a Thruxton tank the same? The black with white checkers would work for me too if the tanks are a straight bolt-up.

Here's a pic. And one pretty much from the side if you want to photoshop it onto your bike or something.

I wish I knew how to photoshop. If your willing to ship let me know and I'll certainly consider it. I love my all black Bonnie but a splash of red would be nice!

Bassman, give me a week or two to try locally. I'd hate to go through the draining and shipping process just to find my idea of "pristine" and yours were different. If we do decide to do it, I'll make sure to wash and inspect the tank for any signs of wear at all and let you know up front. I'll holla back at you later and see if you are still interested.

Hey Bill

Where is Murrieta

I could be into it, my tank is pretty clean (when I clean it) although it has a monza cap that will have to come off

Hey Fuzz,

I've got a deal in the works locally now, but I'll let you know if it caves in. Eagle Rock is about a 80 miles away according to map quest. Murrieta is about where San Diego and Riverside counties meet up. I'll let you know if this other deal doesn't work out and post a photo if it does. Thanks.
