what are those two round canisters underneath the bike? there appears to be a big one and a small one. the zip tie holding the small one broke today and its bouncing around. there also looks like something is plugged into one side and a nipple on the other side, however there is also a tube hanging down by the nipple, is that suppose to be plugged onto that nipple or is that a breather/overflow line for something?

I believe you are referring to your Evap canister. it is only on California bikes. My bike does not have one. Some fellow California riders may be able to help determine if you have to keep it there or not

hope that helps

Yup, that be the evap kit. Have fun removing that....then re-installing it for inspection....then removing it again.

Inspected - what???

They just install them, as of right now there are no laws that I know of that requires them except for the dealer to sell the bike according to California standards. BUT, next year things will change.

If you decide to take it off, just save the parts in case you need them someday. Here's the link for removal instructions.

Everything is retro bro, if they pass the laws that these are to b manditory on your bike it will have to be retro - its the way the law works...
