Hi guys looking for some help. I'm going to look at a chopper this week to buy and i know very little about Bonnies or twin Triumphs for that mater. Any info on what I should be looking at or common problems to look for would be a great help. Oh yeah, she says its a T140.

I know the pic is very small but thats all i could get from the seller.

Caveat Emptor..

The worst thing you could do is to buy a vintage bike that you know little to nothing about. Vintage Triumphs are about as cool as it gets, but they can be very finicky, and discouraging to futz with. From the picture it's obvious the bike has had MAJOR mods,.. be careful.

You sure you really want to do this?..

Busting knuckles keeping it running is not a problem. She is asking $4500, seems a little high but I have not seen the bike in person yet. Thanks for the link, lots of good stuff.

$4,500 is pretty high. Seems like on Ebay you can pick these up for half that. You can check out the thread "Silliest Ebay buy it now" on the Triumph Twins Hangout.

People are unloading a lot of choppers recently that up until recently have been worthless and asking high prices. You can still pick up an older Bonnie or Daytona for that price and have a neat bike to tinker with.
