I am sure this has been ran over a few times, but I am considering a small tank bag for my bike. Thinking magnetic, what have people had success with?

I heard such great things about the Cortech Super Mini and was about to buy one but ended up with the new Super 12 Liter magnetic bag. Haven't actually used it yet though. I got the bag before the bike.

I like Cortech stuff. I've got the Cortech Mini Tank Bag and have had the Super Mini too. Just don't assume the magnets by themselves will do the trick. Also use the little strap to attach it to your bars. I overstuffed the micro mini once so the magnets didn't sit right and the sucka slid right off.

I have a small Marsee tankbag (non magnetic) that I swap back and forth between the W650 and T100. I'm sure the mag version of one of the smaller Marsee bags would work nicely. No experience with Cortech, but they appear to be nicely featured, too.

I've got the Triumph tank bag (none magnetic)
It stays stable, even at high speed. It's expandable, and I've had abolutely no issues with tank scratching.

I highly recommend the Cortech Super Mini--I've had mine for over a year now and it goes with me every time I ride. Regardless of what size you buy--if magnetic, get a plastic bag to store the tank bag in and never sit the tank bag on sofas, chairs or carpet. The magnets can pick up minute particles of metal from these places and that is what scratches your paint. Mine goes straight from the bike to the plastic bag and onto a shelf in the closet until the next ride. My tank still looks as good as before I started using the tank bag. I second whoever said to use the strap. I've never had mine even look like it would come loose, but then I have the Parabellum Scout fairing blocking the wind from the bag.

I have a Nelson-Rigg, forgot the size, that I found at a local cycle shop. It's small to middling in size. It has powerful magnets, no need for a strap, I can hardly get it off the tank. It serves its purpose when I need some trunk space and I'm glad to have it.
I bought the overpriced Triumph bag with the bike, sold it because I didn't want to deal with the straps.

Does the Triumph tank bag get in the way of the fuel filler cap?
