I installed a Arlen Ness after market Tach and after 6 grand it goes hay wire. I'm not hitting the rev limiter at that point, so i know it's not that. Has anyone else had this problem with an after market tach? The tach goes up to 8 grand I don't know if the spring or something get to tight when it gets wound up. If you don't have that problem let me know what after market tach you have, besides the $350 one from truimph. You help will be greatly appriciated.

I had a aftermarket Harley item bought from e-bay for $50,it even came with wiring instructions and had no problems.
It was a mini tacho and mounted nice in the cut out next to the speedo.
