I'm a relatively new Bonneville owner (DEC 06) and have a quick question.

How do you access the instrument lamps?

It appears that the plastic housing under the lamps comes off by removing the two screws underneath, but thought I'd check before attempting to replace a defective bulb.

Bike does not have a tach, if that matters.

Thanks

I am not sure if this is the best way oi do it, (probably not) But I Pulled gentally on the rubber boot around the light from underneath(which will pop your lenses free) an voilla. To reinstall i just put the bot back through the hole and pushed the lense back in cussed a little bit and tried again until it worked.
hope that helps

I just reviewed my tacho kit instructions. The colored lenses come off from the top, you should be able to remove them by prying up. The bulb holders pull out from beneath the instrument panel.

Pretty much as Jesushoffa said.

PS I have the tacho kit instructions in a zip file. If you want to see them for the clear diagrams and instructions, send me a PM with your e-mail address.
