Anyone have some directions on how to install new headlight brackets? Changing to chrome. I did a search on the forum, but came up empty.

Thanks, Bob

you'll have to remove the fork legs, or the top clamp. Your choice.

I'd remove the fork legs, pull the front wheel and fender, then loosen the yokes and slide the legs out one at a time.

You will have to open the headlight bucket (screws at 4 and 8 o'clock) and disconnect the turn signal wires inside, they are easy to find as they're the only connector with only 2 wires. then unscrew the turn signals from the brackets and pull the wires out.

The headlight brackets slide off the forks, make sure to reuse the rubber Orings at each end.

Good luck!!!

Thanks - Wow - I didn't realize how much work this would be - when I get the chance to put them on, I'll let you know - I will be happy to send you the black ones - could be a few weeks before I get the chance to work on it.

Thanks Berta! It is a bit of a chore to swap them out...a good time to install some progressive fork springs or replace front brake pads with EBC HH's, or to add aftermarket turn signals etc!

Might as well kill 2 birds with one stone!
