I have been looking at the Corbin Smuggler seat. Does anyone have one? Any comments or pics?
Thanks,
Andy

I have the Smuggler and I like it very much. It provides not only some badly needed storage for a proper tool kit, cell phone, disc lock but it can be made to your inseam as well. It really is a comfortable seat. Most folks do not have a big problem with seat height on the Bonnie, but I had it made for one inch shorter inseam than what I have an sit completely flat footed when stopped. There have been some quality issues, especially when it comes to custom paint job. They have been noted on this site elsewhere. It can also take a long time to get. (6-8 weeks) When mine came, the rear mount, which is extremely critical, was not even close, off by 1-1/2" too short. I simply used sheet metal screw and relocated it. I plan on keeping the bike a long time, so it was a good investment for me. They are expensive. The convenience was worth the logistics. If you are simply looking at a solo seat without storage capacity, I would have a dealer show you the Triumph solo seat with cowl, ala Thruxton/68 Collection.

I like em a lot but could never justify a 700.00 glove box for my bike. But this bike I just picked up had one installed already. It's perfect for the cell phone, keys, wallet, digital camera, and some tools.

If you order one and your paint is anything but a single color then I wish you luck on getting it right. I eventually just gave up attempting to get them to fix mine.

I have the Tangerine and white (creamsicle) seat and the matching color was perfect as were the configuration of the stripes etc. BUT-the paint cracked underneath the clear coat on the compartment lid-hard to see bit I know its there. Almost perfect. Just ride the sucker!! The seat works!
They are expensive and take forever to get but are worth it to me in the long view.

I have a few questions,
Arnt these things like $700.00 or something crazy like that, and does the seat come with them?
I have a really good friend you manufactures carbon Fiber racing car parts. What would you guys think if I could get these done for more or almost half of the price in carbon painted?
