Hi again guys
I have a 2003 T100 Bonnie 790cc.
I've had it 3 !/2 years now.
I'm a little short in the leg so I'll be lowering the front end by 22mm with the MecaTwin Kit.
I was also thinking of lowering the rear end by 20mm by going from 340mm std shock length to a 320mm shock length with firmer springs to compensate for the difference in ground clearance.
I want to lower the whole profile of the bike as I'm after a street fighter custom kind of look.
.
Does anyone know whether this will work? or is it untried and inherently dangerous.
Has anyone done this?
I know the fender will clear but is there any thing else chassis wise that I should consider. Any obstructions etc.
Before I spend a lot of money on a failed experiment.
Any advice
Jon (UK)

I lowered the rear of mine 1.25 inches using Hagon shocks and the front 1/2 inch by loosening the bolts holding the shocks and retightening.

Hi Bassman
Thanks for your reply and the same goes to everyone.
I consider this forum to be the motorcycle club I belong to these days. In a strange sort of way.
How does she handle. do you have any grounding problems and are you still using the stock oil filter?
Do you think I should add a sump guard?
I'm kind of lucky Hagons is only about 26 miles away from me so I'll go see what they have and try em for size.
I like the idea of the stainless Nitro's.
All the best
Jon (UK)

Jon,I had the minus 30mm Hagon Nitro`s on my bike for a year. They require a lot of tuning to get "right",which I was never able to sort out. They are nicely made though, and the high cost shows it.I never had a problem with the oil filter, just the occasional grinding of the pegs and more often the sides of my boots.I have my front forks lowered almost to the handlebars and an 18" front rim too. Be careful with the kickstand touching down, but more important, making the bike WAY more upright when parked, like ,tip over upright I never had any handling issues when in "full drop" mode, but I`m not the hooligan rider I wish I was. If you just want to lower it a bit to try out, for cheap, just lower your fork tubes yourself,5 minutes, free and try some Speedmaster shocks [1/2 to 3/4" shorter].Somebody in your area might have a set just sitting there that you could borrow for your test. Much cheaper to find out just how much drop you need. Here`s a pic of the Hagons,at full drop, except with the old 19" rim.

Here's the only pic I could do tonight. Nohandling or dragging problems. No bottoming out of front fender either.

No dragging ? What not even the footpegs? Mine used to drag on roundabouts with stock height suspension.

Hi Bassman
Great looking bike.
I have a stock rear fender etc and want to ride two up on occasions.
Do you think it'll still work.

Sorry guys getting carried away by all these great bike pics.
The last post of mine was concerning Rodburners bike.
No offence Bassman I posted a comment on yours which is beautiful too.
But Rod man will be able to give me the info I need.
