I was reading in another post that the Thruxton Gel Seat on the cowetacustomcycles site is exactly the same as the "Contemporary Seat", but is about $60 cheaper.

Will this fit right onto a Bonnie? Also, anyone have any experience with a rider and/or strapping stuff to one? I don't plan on carrying anyone far, but it's nice to know I can throw a lady on back if I need to

This seems to be a nice alternative to the K/Q seat. Although, I kinda like the 2-tone grey contemporary seat, I don't think it's worth the extra $60!

The answer is yes to the mounting question. I got a gel seat and cowl for my Bonnie Black from them for Christmas and it fits and looks great. Since I put on the cowl I don't plan on using luggage. If you go that way, I would suggest you look into tourmaster bags. I had them on my 98 Triumph Thunderbird and they were the best! The cowl is removable for two-up riding, but I have no first hand experience yet (it's dropping to 7 degrees here, a little too chilly to ride). Good luck.

I love my Thrux Gel! I'm soooo Gellin!
Mine came from Coweta Customs. Their about an hour away from me. Good people to deal with. The North American Truimph warehouse is next door so if something isn't in stock they can get it same day. My seat wasn't there when I went to pick up the Flyscreen and they were back within 5 minutes with it!

Do the gel seats heat up in the sun? I thought someone said the scrambler gel seat gets pretty hot.

Can't beat 120! If you don't mind I'd love to hear what you think when you get it. Especially if it gets hot sitting in the sun.

Don't hold your breath for that report, Matt! Judging from the Weather Channel, any discomfort caused by solar energy is some time off in billybob's neck of the woods. What happened to that El Nino?

Just wanted to chime in on the Thruxton gel seat for the Bonneville - the seat will fit with no problem, however, it is defiitely different than stock in the way it fits on the bike - you will see that the frame rails in front and back are more exposed - I am pretty particular (anal) and this bothered me - I went back to the stock seat.

Anything special you needed to do to get that price? I just checked their website - looks like $180. I was on the fence about getting it from my dealer at $180; at $120, I'd definitely try it.
