If a person was to buy a replacement air filter, is the k/n a more air flow fliter for peformance than the uni type filter?

I assume you refer to the Unifilter and the K&N brands? You pay your money and you take your choice - both are excellent. I used the Unifilter when I still had my air-box in place and now use K&N pods with my NARK. Both are fine. As I remember you need to pre-oil the Unifilter while the "pink" K&Ns are already pre oiled?

The unifilter pods are a real b ugger to install cause the flange is not as long as the K&Ns and really hard to get to stay on the carbs.
But they are a fair bit cheaper.
