Could not bring myself to spend $30 on a chrome choke knob so I paid a visit to Home Depot...found this little chrome drawer pull for $.99, I think it works great!

I used the bolt that came with the knob, just had to cut some length off of it and drill out the hole on the mounting bracket. Used a lock washer and a little threadlocker and good to go.

You beat me on the price- most of these knobs are made in the Far East or Eastern Europe. Having to sell into civilization means most of them have mm thread-4 mm will fit.

Does that bring the knob any closer inside? I hit it with the inside of my leg and would like to get it moved in, or more flush than the stock knob.

yeah, I guess that utilitarian look is fine for some. I prefer the elegance of a full sized crystal knob.
