Now that I installed it. I notice when I put my brake on " front or rear" the taillight continuously blinks till you take the brake off. Any Ideas? You have to brake the right side connection of the stock peice because it is attached to the fender with a plastic fastener that does not come apart. I cut mine off and installed a bolt in its place like the other side has. Oh an I bought the plug and play complete Lucas style taillight and signal set from Newbonneville. Don't waste your money. You may as well buy the parts seperate because it is very difficult to install the taillight if you try and follow their directions or lack there of.. They do not even give you the phillp screws you will need. The lucas style tail lightreally cleans up the rear I must say.I just tried it on for looks so far. I put the stock tailight back on and with the Hi Rev Box the tail light blinks when you apply the brakes.

I don't know if this is what is happening but the new tail light might have a flasher bulb in it. Did you try changing the bulb? I have seen some bikes with flashing brakelights. Also headlights. What about the high rev box? You started the thread with it but didn't menttion it. I like mine. I also like the stock brake light.

I just installed the same kit with no problems, and it works and looks excellent. The only problem,no directions, and I'm not very good at puzzles so it took me awhile.

Yea you have to watch the tach. I shift at 7k. It feels like it is ready to go way past it with out the rev limiter kicking in. I think it was 7k.Too many bikes and I have not had this one long. What does it red line on the tach dial?7K? Oh and the stock tail light is blinking when you apply the brake . I did not continue to mount the new style light. It sure will clean up the rear end with the Lucas style light..
