i need some info on installing a front number plate. i am not sure on what kind of drill bit i need to use, i don't want the paint to chip. if any one out there can help me out with some pointers and some info on the best way to go about this would be i would be grateful :2guns:

Get your self a good high speed steel bit, put some tape over the location of the hole to prevent slips and cracks and drill away.
Don't use to much pressure as the heat could discolor the paint. paint and seal bare metal and fit plate.

most important thing is to have a good sharp drill bit..

I did the same as Multibob recommends, an extra thing that I did was to tape grid paper around the fender and find the exact spot to drill, I left the grid paper on and taped the whole area off in case the drill slipped, it went very smooth just a little scary at first.

I'd center punch with a spring loaded punch and drill a small pilot hole to keep the larger bit from wandering and definetly paint the bare metal.
