Anyone have a high mile TBA yet? I am curious as to how many miles a top end is good for.

There are guys with about 80k and no problems. from what i've read they seem to be good for 100k at least if you change the oil often and use good stuff like mobil 1. I use mobil 1 V twin. About $8 a quart, but according to a guy who's in the business of testing oils it's the best. I'd say if you use good oil and change it often you'll be in the market for a new bike before the top end needs rebuilding.

Speaking of top end; how did you make out with you washer hunt?

36k miles in 30 months. Not the most, but not bad. I use whatever syn or semi-syn oil is on sale and those cheapo Fram filters and change at 3k to 4k miles. The oil analysis I've had done says I should go longer on the oil as it still looks too good to change at 3k. Valves at 12k were good-to-go and the bike has gone 3k to 5k miles in a week (rain and cold) several times without a hitch. It's my 30 mile per day all weather commuter, so it gets all kinds of riding.
I've installed a 3.5 gallon tour-tank so it goes 225-300 between gas stops.

Of course, your mileage may vary

That's probably the cleanest my bike has ever been. Certainly hasn't been that shiney since... well... maybe, it has rained once or twice
