I'm interested in adding a small tach to my Bonnie in the cutaway area of the speedometer. I've seen one on someones bike in the photo area. Anyone know a good one that will fit their and match the speedometer. Can't afford the Triumph Dual Speedo and Tach. Any ideas?

I just put one on my Bonneville. Somewhere in these forums are some directions that I copied and downloaded the pictures to follow... do a searcha and you should come up with it.

I got a mini tach off of Ebay for $20US and wired it up per the directions - works perfectly right off the bat.

This is what you should look for. The one I bought was used, but works great. I think any 12volt 8000 rpm tach would do... Do some searching on Ebay for "mini tach" and you'll find a bunch.

This site has the pictures I followed: http://oldsport.home.comcast.net/tach/

It took some cajones to cut that first wire, but the directions are right on the money. If you need any help, feel free to ask.

That looks good! What did you mount it to? This is what I had in mind.

Here's what I did first.

Here's what I got now.

Next is a custom mount bracket courtesy of D9 to lower them.

Speedo from Mikes Tach from E-Bay $100.00 total cost.

Just thought that you might want to know that adamoverdrive is selling his Triumph OE tach conversion kit. Check out the thread here.

Also, there are a few tachs for sale on EBay that may interest you:
1. An OE T100 tach for $99+shipping. Click here
2. A vintage universal chrome tach much like Loxpump's for $44+shippingClick here
3. The exact same tach and bracket as Loxpump's $46+shippingClick here
Cheers.

I love the instrument cluster!!! Would mind clarifying what you mean by 'D9'? Thanks and cheers.

D9 is a good friend of mine that has done some great mods on his own T100 and helps me out all the time on mine. He's working on a bracket set up for my new gauges. I'm losing the two brackets that came with the gauges and with the new ones, lowering them about an inch and a half.
