OK gang, I just added my Flat Track bars to my site. To help clearify the differences between the bars I offer, here's a pic and some measurements (top to bottom):

BCC-017 Flat Track Bars - 28.5" wide x 4.25" rise x 7" pullback x 5" center section.

BCC-045 Western Bars - 27.5" wide x 3.5" rise x 5" pullback x 5" center section.

BCC-006 Superbars - 29.5" wide x 2.25" rise x 3.5" pullback x 5" center section.

BCC-002 Sport Bars - 32" wide x 2.25" rise x 3.5" pullback x 8" center section.

All of the above are 1" in diameter and fit the Standard Bonneville and T100 without any need to change the stock cables, wires or hose. They'll also bolt onto the America, Speedmaster and Rocket III, however there may be a need to lengthen the cables, wire and/or brake hose.

I'm interested in the Flat Track or Western bars, it would make my decision a lot easier if you would post the width, rise, pull back, and center width for the stock Bonneville bars. I know I could measure it myself but it's useful for the same person to make all the measurements since some technique is involved.

I assume that the jenks risers make the cables too short with all these aftermarket bars.

Sorry, but I gave away all my stock T100 bars. The Western Bars are closest to the same overall dimensions.

Pukka: the stock Bonnie/T100 bars are 28.5 inches wide; 4 rise; 8 pullback; 5 centre. Hope that helps - cheers Pat

Pat,

Are you sure about that 8" pullback? No way do the stock bars pullback as much as the Flat Track bars.

The way I (and manufacturers) measure pullback is to lay the handlebars on a flat surface so that the center section and the upward bends are flush to the flat surface. From that plane, measure up to the bottom of the handlebar ends.

If you draw a plane from the ends and measure down to the center, you get a higher measurement (common mistake made in some catalogs). If you measured the Flat Track bars like that, you get something like 11".

Dweeb,

What gauge steel or wall thickness are these handlebars? Are they thinner steel than the OEM bars?

Your suberbars that I have installed are an ergonomic fit, but the buzzing in the hands isn't worth it. Even with the heaviest bar-end weights I could find, the vibrations are worse than w/ the stock handlebars.

I'm looking for a quality set of handlebars, but suspect that these are all made of the same thin wall steel. Know where I can find some heavy gauge handlebars?

0.100". Sorry, I don't know about the stock bar thickness.

Thanks Mike... Unfortunately I no longer have my stock handlebars either. Maybe someone here can tell me what that wall thickness is.

Does anyone happen to know the wall thickness of the stock bars? Maybe you have yours laying around along w/ a pair of calipers? I would really like to know for the sake of comparison.

Go to the gun store get some # 8 buck shot pour it in the bars it will deaden the vibration. Works like a charm been doing it for years on high vibe bikes.
