Finally Triumph is releasing in the 2007 accessories catalogue a lockable gas filler cap for the Bonneville/Thruxton/Scrambler.
And it really looks nice and flat. The Triumph emblem on top is great
Certainly it will be a Best Seller

WHY? That would seem like a hassle to go through at every fill-up.I don`t remove my helmet or gloves at the station and fishing in ones pocket for a little key is just unnessasary.I`m sure nobody would ring it with the ignition and fork lock key,to be lost or chastised for scratching up the paint. Plus,IMO,it bears a stiking resemblance to the cap on my Honda generator. If I ever lose my cap,I`ll still probably get one from a 92 Toyota Corolla, which fits perfect also,or the cool billet ones made by one of our own members. Sorry for the rant,I`m in a pissy mood today.

I'm going to buy one for sure. I don't mind the extra 30 seconds if it gives me piece of mind that some dumb jerk isn't going to put something in my tank.

With cash. The people at my local 76 don`t even make me pre-pay when I ride in on the Bonnie. Its the opposite when I rattle up in the cage. :-D
I`m sure lots of people will get the cap for a little extra peace of mind and thats fine.I hope they supply it with a half dozen keys too.

My gas cap key is in the same key fob, together with the ignition key. I keep the steering key and brake lock key in a separate key holder not to have a bunch of keys hanging on the ignition.
If I was to lose the fob with the ignition key the gas cap key at that time would become a minor problem.

I like the cap. It's got style and the peace of mind is a huge plus! I will order one.

I passed at my dealer to check and this PN# is not yet in the computer.
The 2007 Triumph accessory price list will soon be available, he said.

I like it. I'm not crazy about having a key either, but i really like the logo on it.
