ran out of fuel tonight 196ks, triumph scrambler, is this normal? Rod :???:

My Scrambled (with 2700 miles on `er) pretty routinely goes on reserve at approx 140 miles. I've not run it sry yet.

yeah, my Bonnie went on reserve at 196km the other evening, did 224 before I filled her up, probably another 1.5 litres would have done it. If you squeeze as much as you can in the top of the tank when you fill (so the top RH corner gets full), you might get 260-70 - I've had that much on longer trips, not round town though - cheers mate, Pat
