After reading Keef's post about Hagon fork springs I decided to get a set myself, I picked up a set of Gen-u-wine Triumph fork Gaitors as well. The gaitors showed up yesterday so I changed everything out..... I didn't bother farting around measuring air gaps in the fork leg, merely measured what came out, (450 cc's give or take per leg) and refilled them with the same amount of 20 wt fork oil, slipped the new gaitors on and re installed everything.
I test rode it last night on some good twisties by my house but it was cold and dark with deer all over the place so I couldn't get too carried away. I'm pretty impressed with the difference non the less, the combination of the Nitro rears and the progressive fronts really tightens up the handling.
One thing that surprised me was the low grade fasteners used on the bike, my Trophy used good quality Allen's all over. These were little more than chromed pot metal loose in the threads and dry fit to boot. I anti-seized everything and snugged them up good was pleased how everything went together. Overall I'd say it was money well spent and a pretty significant improvement over stock.
