:-D Well, here are my Dyno results after a year of "seat of the pants" tuning. I am quite pleased with the results. In fact, I'm elated
Here's my setup:
790CC - AI removed - D&D Pipes - Freak - TBS needles - 2 Shims - 42 Pilots - 150 Mains

Three runs returned an average 61.2hp & 46.1 ft-lbs torque. Larger photos of the results are in my gallery.

My fuel-air sniffer results showed I am running rich, so I was advised to drop my main jets one size. That should have some affect on all throttle positions, but I am not sure how much. My mixture at idle is 10.8, so I need some advice on how to lean that out. Will going to 40 pilots push it too lean?

So I am asking for thoughts from all.

I wouldn't change the pilot, your 1/4 throttle run looks good, just go in on your pilot screws a 1/4 or 1/2 a turn to clean up your idle. Remember our carbs work on throttle position, not rpm, that's why you got 4 readings 1/4, 1/2 ect. I would take a shim off the needle to lean up the 1/2 and 3/4 run, if your not happy with it you can always reinstall it.

I am using thumbscrews which seem to require different adjustment than the D-Screws.
Mine are set -- Left @ 1.5 turns / Right @ 1.75 turns.

What is the HP/Torque relationship between the rear wheel power & the crank for our bikes? I'm curious to know where I stand compared to stock #s.

Maybe check this assumption. To my recollection, mains really kick in at 1/2 throttle and above. Jenks Bolts tuning manual that was posted here a while back gives the contribution of each carb component at each throttle position. Basically everything matters at different points.

But hey, congrats on the very smooth torque/rpm curves, no noticable dips at all. That's some acheivement. Producing that smooth curve and maxing at 61hp is even better. But I agree you do need to lean up a bit if the sniffer shows you rich.

One step at a time.
