Hello...I am a newbie to this forum...

I'm an owner of an S3, but I'm leaning towards trading her in for a Bonnie black.

My sales person says it's not a problem to do, but obviously I'm going to be upside down.

The reason? I've learned I'm not the aggressive rider. The S3 needs that from me, and I can't do it anymore.

Are there new features for 2007 models?

I hope the S3 guys don't flame me for this.....

Thank you!

This is a guess but I think the only bonnie changes in 07 may be to EFI from carbs. Would need confirmation to be sure though.

You won't go wrong on the bonnie. I have a friend who owns both and he actually prefers the bonnie for backroads because apparently he feels he's using most of the bonnie's ability for these less challenging conditions.

Sort of a horses for courses thing.

There is no difference for the 2007 Bonnie's, except they brought back the best color combo. That would be the black/white T100.

You can check the specs for the new Bonnie's on Triumph's website.

www.triumphmotorcycles.com

the Swiss site has the 2007's and the American site still has the 2006. (as of last week).

The 2007 base-model Bonnies get the T100's 865cc engine.

No EFI (yet); the carbs still meet emissions regs.

Thanks to all who attended!

Do you keep one bullet left for yourself, for when it's all over and done?

When you demo a bonnie, remember, it's not all it can be. With mods that sucker can move. I don't even have all the mods others have, but what I have is more than enough.

You can take it on curves, on decent dirt, for touring or just gathering compliments from MANY people.

The S3 is nice too, but given the choice, I'll keep the bonnie.

Just don't ask if there's a way to keep the pipes from turning blue. Those nice folks will scorch you faster than you can say "Love the bonnie, but is there any way to keep the pipes from...." :-D

I owned a 2004 Sprint RS and my 2004 Thruxton at the same time. I wanted to get down to one bike..I sold the RS and kept the Thruxton. The RS is a marvelous bike, and on paper will trounce any Thruxton in all categories, except one: the Fun Factor. For me and my style of riding, and the roads I always find myself on, the Thruxton was always the bike I wanted to ride. You'll have more fun with that Bonnie than you can imagine, you don't have to feel like you have to ride at 9/10ths all the time like most 'sport' bikes push you into.
