bafflectomy= performance/sound improvement

Sprockets= performance/economy
Lights= appearance/ safety

Better to address exactly what mods you are considerring, and what YOU would expect from such mods, OR express what it is you want, then helpful hands can point you in the right direction. As shown above, any one mod, can have one or MORE reasons for having been done(depending upon the OWNERS wants!), and any combination can give various results, not to mention that sometimes one mod will REQUIRE the addition of severral more for proper operation. Don't forget there are still carbs, coils, ignition boxes, frame braces, floating rotor brake systems, aluminum wheels......

And those are BASIC mods......wanna go internal on the engine....then it REALLY gets fun, spelled E-X-P-E-N-S-S-I-V-E, at least it always has in the past....I see no reason a Triumph will be different.....already saving for my 904 kit....

I just obligated another couple of bills to Brent and his very helpful assistant for one of these new oil pressure gauges. Financially, I am my own worst enemy :hammer: I'll bet that the gauge will be the absolute shiznits when I install it though

Kliff,the only factory gel seat is the Thruxton gel seat.It looks great,but IMO its comfort is subpar to even the stock park bench. Try Hermys online for a good price on one. As far as mods go,everything I`ve done to mine has been my quest to push the envelope,try different parts,change the look,keep myself out of trouble etc,but I`ve not spent much time on increasing the performance.Like Sweatmachine,I want to make sure I never see one "just like mine". And don`t fall into the money trap.There are tons of things that can be modded or changed for little or no cash. Of course,some things just can`t be made in my garage. :-D

Some mods are practicle others are just to do with appearance, but above all - mods = peace and quiet in the workshop away from the kids! :razz:
I wrote an account of a couple of my latest mods HERE.

Oh, and Rodburner - COOL SADDLE - can you please remind me which saddle it was you altered to fit onto that bonnie black of yours (it looks a little like a Corbin Gunslinger) - and can you post a link to your thread about it?
Also, how comfortable is it now you've clocked up a few miles on it?

The second stop is the horsepower store. Make sure you have already loaded up on suspension and brakes. No point in making a bike that goes fast......once.

As the man said, " Power is just a question of money.... How fast can you afford to go?" Or thereabouts.

Modifications become an addiction. One mod demands another. You pull the snorkel and/ or remove the airbox and rejet, you gotta change the exhaust and rejet again, you do the exhaust and you decide to get a cam, you do the cam and you realize you've got more power and you need to upgrade the suspension, you do the suspension and new higher rated tires are desired, the extra power and traction are wreeking havoc on your clutch and new heavier springs with kevlar plates are installed, your chain and sprockets are being eaten alive and an upgrade is purchased, more power is desired and High compression pistons go in and as long as the engine is down, do a valve job w/ extra heavy springs and have the head flowed to get it to breath better still, and bigger carbs or an EFI kit enter the picture...etc. etc.

Does this sound like fun?

YEAH !!! It does to me too!
