I like the look of the sixty8 seat - anyone buy one of these yet - if so, can you give a review, and does it fit in place of the stock T100.
Thanks, Bob

I have purchased a Sixty8 Contemporary Seat. It fits fine, no adjustments needed. It is also more comfortable than the stock seat. My stock seat was finally getting broken in, put this on and it already felt broken in. I am very happy with the seat.
Here are two pictures, one without the seat cowl, one with.

It is the same as a Thruxton seat as far as I know.
The seat was $295, the cowl was $130.

Here's a dilemma I hope this forum can help out with. I love the 68 seat/ cowl, and want to get it for my bonnie. At the same time, i need to get some form of backrest/ sissy for wife/ kids when they ride with. I do not want a permanent backrest...just don't dig the look. Does anyone know if the Triumph sissy fits with the thrux/68 seat, and if so, how quick can it be yanked off for cowl/ single seat riding? Many thanks! :???:

You should have no problem running with that seat and the Triumph backrest. I am curriently riding my T100 with a Thruxton seat, the only problem I would see is that the passenger portion of the seat is a bit more abbreviated than the stock seat - may not work the best as a passenger perch, not sure. The Thruxton seat is more comfortable than the stock T100 seat - at least, so it seems to me. Consider the Triuimph King/Queen seat, it doesn't look as nice, but it might be a better passenger seat. I think the higher Triumph back rest works best with the K/Q seat although the lower one will fit ok I believe.
Good luck,
Tom

Hint: Don't buy the Sixty8 seat; instead, buy the Thruxton gel seat. Looks the same, but it's (supposedly) more comfortable, and strangely, it costs $70 less. If you do some searching online, you can actually find it for under $200.
Yes, Bonneville/T100 and Thruxton seats are interchangeable.

Thanks for the advice. I'm going to look up the gel/ cowl combo, then pick up a backrest to slap on with my stock seat when I'm going the passenger route....which will be for limited around town riding only, so not so concerned with long distance comfort. A nice modular seat 'system' with detachable/ changable elements like cowls, racks, pillions, colors would be a neat product, no?

one word of caution about the gel, it's supposed to hold heat forever. If you park in the sun on a hot day I hear they take forever to cool down.
