I've had my 2006 T100 in the shop for over 2 weeks now. Parts were ordered 8 business days ago and STILL are not in. The original time quoted was 5 to 7 business days.
This weekend is supposed to be really nice for weather... I'm gonna be pretty PO'd if I can't enjoy some riding before the real cold weather sets in up here.
Why can't Triumph maintain parts supplies in Canada or at least get the parts out of the USA? Why do we have to wait for parts to be sent from England if they are available in the USA?
Sheesh.

I feel your pain, took two weeks to get the "White" rod bearings for my engine rebuild, the dealership is in Florida, Triumph is in Georgia, I must have missed something! :hammer:

You cannot know true pain until you own an Italian motorcycle, believe me.

Read a rather horrifying account from an employee at a Moto Guzzi dealership in Atlanta, Ga, I think. He mentioned bikes sitting in the shop for up to 9 months waiting for parts, really painful to read.

Yep, thats whats holding mine up too...I authorised the repairs a month ago, parts just got in. Total time to actually fix the bike is about 5 days, wait for parts, a month to a month and a half. I guess that the price we pay for not owning Yamakazukis.....

Triumph really do seem to be getting worse for their parts supply. I'm waiting to have my front wheel and brake disk replaced under warranty on my T100. The replacements were authorized over a month ago and the parts have only just arrived! It's going to be a further week before I can have them fitted.

Triumph dealers hate to have money tied up in the most common spareparts that are usually needed by their customers. It's lousy customer service, don't blame the factory, blame the dealer. Seems to me that every little part needs to be ordered in, it takes anywhere from 5 to 30 days, and they want to be paid in advance or they don't order it in.
Maybe that's why there are still lots of 2005 and 2006 models on the Canadian showroom floors. People don't buy because they don't trust dealer services.
Just yesterday I still saw two 2006 Scramblers, three Bonnevilles, three Americas, two Truxtons plus some 2005 models at a BC dealers showroom. Here we are in september, I bet they don't sell a single one anymore till next spring.

Took 7 weeks to get a speedo cable, which I thought should have been a stock item since they are built to fail. It did not keep me from riding but what p!ssed me off was being told "it will be in next week" repeatedly.
If Triumph will give me a consignment inventory of common parts, I'll run a warehouse in NA for them. They will not be successful in resurecting the brand here unless they can compete in service with other brands of bikes. Logistics aside, they need a COMMITTED dealer network.
